Before submitting your application, we recommend taking a few moments to:

What to expect when applying
We want your application experience to feel clear, fair and supportive. Below is an outline of what happens at each stage so you can apply with confidence.

1. Finding the right role
You begin by exploring our current vacancies and identifying a role that matches your skills and experience.
Each job description and person specification will help you understand what we are looking for.

2. Preparing your application
Applications are completed online via MyNewTerm.
To give yourself the best chance, please ensure you:

Complete all sections of the application form in full

Address the person specification in your responses

Include referees (one should ideally be your most recent employer)

Note that CVs cannot be submitted on their own

3. Submitting your application
Once you are happy with your application, submit it before the closing date.
You will receive confirmation that your application has been received.
Applications are reviewed as they are received, and we reserve the right to close adverts early, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

4. Shortlisting
Applications are carefully reviewed against the job description and person specification.
If you are shortlisted, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Due to the volume of applications, individual feedback is not provided at this stage.

5. Interview & assessment
If shortlisted, you may be invited to an interview and additional activities such as:

A school-based activity or observation
Full details will always be shared in advance so you can prepare with confidence.

6. Outcome
If you are successful, you will receive a conditional offer subject to pre-employment checks.
All candidates will be informed of the outcome. Feedback may be provided where appropriate.
