Our vision is simple: to ensure every child gets a great start in life. We believe this journey begins long before the first day of school.

How it Works

  • The Fairness Factor: A great start should be available to everyone. Our community groups, baby hubs, and ‘Strong Foundations’ programmes are provided at no cost to families, ensuring equality from day one.

  • The Long-Term Commitment: We support your child from birth through to age six. By supporting families during the baby year, toddler years and the transition to Nursery and Reception, we aim to ensure no child starts behind. We have great nurseries at all of our Maritime schools as well as a range of pre-school activities and support to help you be the best parents you can be and your child get the best opportunities in life.

  • Reception Ready Roadshows: We host interactive sessions for parents and children to build the confidence, social skills, and excitement needed for a successful move into primary school.

  • Early Support: We work with you to identify any additional needs as early as possible, signposting families to local health and community services so support is in place from the very beginning.

  • Maritime Bites: Our Early Years experts use our digital library to stay updated on the latest research in child development, ensuring your child is supported by staff who truly understand how young minds grow.
